It's been a long time since I've mentioned new beauty faves. I've been trying really hard not to buy unnecessary things and sticking to using products that work well for me. Being the product junkie that I am, I love trying new things and sharing them with y'all if they're worth mentioning! Here are some awesome products that I use all the time and think you should check out! Make sure you read all the way to end for a picture with swatches.
Skincare
After a short stint trying the "natural" route and using Shea Moisture's African Black soap bar as my daily face wash, I realized soap bar life is not for me. I broke out like never before and I was desperate to get my skin back in shape. I had to run to the drugstore and find a brand my skin was already familiar with.
Bioré Blemish Fighting Ice Cleanser
Bioré never steered me wrong before and I knew it wouldn't hurt my face or pocket to try this ice cleanser. This face wash contains 2% salicylic acid which I believe is the reason my acne calmed down. The formula is clear and once you apply it and rub it against your fingers or face it slightly lathers up. There's an instant cooling effect on the face (or wherever you apply it- sometimes I apply it to my chest if I breakout) and it feels soooo good. The sensation is very relaxing.
I bought mine at Bed Bath & Beyond but it's available at every drugstore (the packaging might be a little different). It averages around $6-$8

Nip + Fab Glycolic Night Pads (Extreme)
These pads contain 5% glycolic acid, which is enough to exfoliate dead skin and gradually give you smoother skin. Since these pads are "extreme" I don't use them every night. I use them every other night and I've seen a huge difference in the texture of my skin.

presoaked pads come with a slight texture which is great for exfoliationg |
The package contains 60 presoaked pads, so I got 4 months worth in one purchase. After I've removed my makeup and cleansed the skin with the Bioré ice cleanser, I pat dry my face and use one presoaked pad and swipe it all over my face, neck, and decolletage. I avoid the eye area because that skin is very sensitive and you don't want to put any harsh chemicals on it. I don't follow up with a moisturizer or serum because I want this acid to really sink in and work overnight.
Haircare
Wet N Dry brush by Cala
This is a great dupe for the Wet brush. It's basically the same thing but you save a couple of dollars. I love using it on my hair fresh out of the shower and when it is dry as well. The bristles are extremely gentle and undo tangles instantly. Honestly, what was my life before this brush? Lol shoutout to Karla who got this for me 😊
You can find this product at any Marshalls or TJ Maxx

Batiste Dry Shampoo, Neon Fragrance
It's no secret that I adore Batiste dry shampoo. I usually buy it from Marshalls or TJ Maxx (notice a pattern here? LOL I basically live in those stores). The jumbo sizes go for a reasonable price and sometimes if you're lucky, they're in the clearance section for $3 or $4 just because the cap is missing. I picked up this monster size can for only $4! I was intimidated by the bright exterior, but the scent is super fresh and floral. A trick I've been doing is spraying my hair before I go to sleep, and in the morning I wake up with grease-free, voluminous hair. Love this stuff!

NYX Total Control Drop Foundation in Classic Tan
I really hit the jackpot with this foundation. It is so liquidy but dries down to a gorgeous matte finish. It comes with a dropper dispenser which makes the foundation customizable to your desired coverage. I love how I can get a natural finish or full coverage finish depending on what look I'm going for that day. NYX continues to impress me.
Get it at Ulta or any store that carries NYX for $13.99 and thank me later!
NYX Matte Bronzer in Deep
I'm always on the hunt for a bronzer that warms up my face and doesn't make me look like an Oompa Loompa. At first, I was a bit disappointed at how light this "deep" shade was. I felt like it didn't really show up on my skin. But the more I played around with it, the more I liked it.
Now that we are getting into the cooler months and I'm losing my summer tan, this color is finally showing up beautifully on me, giving me that faux glow. It reminds me a lot of the Too Faced Chocolate Soleil, but unfortunately, it doesn't have that delicious chocolatey scent. For $8.99, it's definitely a dupe.

e.l.f. Contouring Blush & Bronzer in Fiji
e.l.f. is a brand after my own heart and it always amazes me how good their products are for such a low price. This matte blush and bronzer set has great color payoff and is perfect for every day. It's also great for traveling since its a compact duo. I've seen this as a dupe for the Nars Laguna bronzer but that's, not something I can vouch for.
I usually reach towards this product more for the blush than the bronzer. It's the most perfect natural pink blush that goes great with literally every color. A super steal for only $4!
Wet n Wild Megaslim Skinny Tip Eyeliner in Black
Ladies, put down that Kat Von D tattoo liner and go to your local drugstore to get this liner. It has the skinniest felt tip which gives you the most control over your liner. Going for a thin liner? Use this. Going for a dramatic cat eye? Use this. This has by far been the best eyeliner marker I've ever used, and that's saying a lot lol. I'm still on my first marker which I bought in August but you best believe I already have my backup in stock. It dries down to a matte finish and lasts all day. What more could you want from an eyeliner?
This bad boy is only $5 (SHUT UP!) lol I'm obviously super hyped to share this with you guys if you haven't already discovered it. I bought mine at Walgreens but it's hard to find in stores. I suggest checking any drugstore that carries Wet n Wild and testing your luck!
L.A. Girl Glide Gel Eyeliner Pencil in Very Black
So far this post has been chock full o' drugstore wins and this gel eyeliner is the cherry on top. For $4, you can get a creamy gel pencil that is opaque and bold. Comfortable to apply in the 5waterline and also super easy to use on the eyelid as well. Smokes out very pretty and can be used as a base for a smokey eye as well. I love it so much that I recently purchased another one in dark brown!

Tarte Tarteist Mini Lip Paint in Fomo
How come no one ever told me about these amazing lip paints? Comparable to the NYX soft matte lip creams, the Tarte lip paints are long lasting, matte and creamy but not drying whatsoever. The fact that they don't dry down completely like other liquid lipsticks can be a bit of a downer because they do smudge and wear off after a couple of hours. But the upside is it leaves a stain on the lip which is super sexy and makes this product a two in one lol.
This gorgeous mauve shade FOMO is the perfect everyday lip color. I purchase this in a mini duo set which also came with the color Rosé which is a bit too nude for my skin tone.
The duo set is $12 which is great if you want to test out the formula- get it here
The full size is $20 which is standard for a liquid lipstick- get it here
Anastasia Beverly Hills Liquid Lipstick in Allison
I hate how pink this lipstick looks in the picture and in real life because the actual color is nothing close. If you've been looking for a pinkish brown lip color, look no further! I've been wearing this lip color almost every day since the Springtime and I don't plan on changing it anytime soon. I love how the ABH liquid lipsticks are long lasting and not drying whatsoever. It doesn't smudge or budge, but when I remove it, I am left with a gorgeous natural pink stain (similar to the Tarte lip paint mentioned above). I love that bonus effect that I didn't even know some liquid lipsticks have.
I love pairing this with my beloved NYX nutmeg lipliner, and it looks great on its own too. This is actually my 2nd tube since last month I dropped it in restaurant and broke it. If I repurchased a $20 lipstick, that should say something since I'm very frugal and always try to save money.
I think this shade will look beautiful on every skin tone. Definitely swatch it the next time you're at an ABH makeup section.
