New Season, New Reasons

Fall time is finally here! But if there's one thing I learned about New York's weather, its that it is never consistent! Just last week, it was close to 90°F, and this week we had to bust out the full sleeves and light jackets.

This past Sunday was my ideal weather: sunny skies and no humidity. I met up with my friend Astrid for lunch and we had an impromptu photo session by the river. I spent the past year not really taking pictures of myself due to physical insecurities. Truth is, we'll never be 100% satisfied with how we look. But after allowing these insecurities to serve as roadblocks to my dreams, I finally got out my own way. 

Sunset is my favorite time of day. I love taking pictures of the sunset, but for a change, I decided to be the subject of the golden hour. I subconsciously wore all earth tones that day, which went beautifully with my natural backdrop. It's as if my brain flipped a switch while I was picking out my outfit that day to channel fall vibes without putting too much effort.

Shoutout to Astrid for taking these awesome pictures of me! I'm easing back into taking more pictures and my friends are my comfort zone so I will definitely be taking advantage of that, haha! I'm so grateful for the friends who not only encourage me to follow my dreams but for helping me achieve them as well. I look forward to a fresh start every season, and I'm feeling very optimistic about this one. Hope you all have a cozy, fashionable, and productive Autumn. ♡
