What's on my dresser/Jewelry Organization

Hey folks! So I was cleaning up my dresser (because it tends to get dusty and my jewelry gets messed up time to time) and I decided to show y'all how I store some of my jewelry. I'm not sure if anyone even cares, lol. But I do have a few tips/tricks on how to store your jewelry so that it doesn't become one big tangled mess/ hoard multiple jewelry boxes. So let's jump right in!

What's on my dresser:
A candle to keep my room smelling like fresh laundry
A pretty mug which I use as a pen holder
A cool souvenir candle/sand art from Dubai
A handmade rabbit statue from Bangladesh
A pretty metallic blue vase/candle holder from Marshall's
A few different dishes to hold my jewelry
Star jar- a friend made me this back in JHS and I still have it
Lotions, body sprays and deodorant lol
My handy lint roller!
And of course, an alarm clock. TIP: keep your alarm clock across the room from your bed, that way you are forced to wake up, walk over and turn it off. It really works! So much better than hitting the snooze button and oversleeping!

So here's the twist, the top of my dresser opens up to be a hidden display with a mirror
I keep jewelry that I wear occasionally in here, as well as some hand me downs and gift pieces that I want to be extra careful with
Pretty cool right? This dress is from Bob's furniture but it was purchased about 3 years ago so I am not sure if they still carry this model.
As I mentioned, I love displaying my jewelry on dishes rather than jewelry boxes. Why? Simply because they're prettier to look at! And this way they are right in front of me, making them easier to find as well.

I especially love Turkish dishes. They have the most gorgeous designs and can be used for anything, I just find them too pretty to serve food lol

I get my Turkish dishes from Marshalls or T.J. Maxx and they're usually under $10 for the smaller pieces.

This teal dish (below) is perfect for my everyday/most worn jewelry and accessories. It's the perfect size to fit in my stuff, and is such a cute color. And I believe I got this on sale too!

The dish on its own
Here we have my most worn earrings, necklaces, rings and my watch (novelty)
The next dish is something that captured my eyes right away!!! How gorgeous is this eggplant purple dish with gold artwork? I die.

At first I left the bowl empty because its so beautiful on its own. But then I found it to be a good home for all my chunky necklaces. It displays them evenly, and you can still admire the mesmerizing artwork
My chunky necklaces

I'm sure you are all familiar with the crystal candy jar. I mean every grandma had this in their house, right?
A couple years ago my mom wanted to get rid of this old jar, but I told her I'll keep it because it was in good condition and I was sure I could find good use for it. I decided to keep it as an extra jewelry holder/storage for safety pins, extra earring pushes and mismatched earrings lol

Last but not least I wanted to share this awesome tip, a solution I came up with all on my own!
This is for my peeps that deal with the struggle of getting all their necklaces in a knot. All you're going to need for this is a bracelet that has an opening to latch and detach like this one
closed
open

You're going to take all your necklaces (closed) and loop them around the bracelet
this is what your necklace organizer should look like once you close the bracelet

To get the necklace of your choice, follow the diagram below and you should have no problem!
1. Select the pendant/necklace you want to wear
2. Find the closure
3. open the closure
4. simply pull the pendant out and you should be knot free!

I hope you found this helpful and want to try out some of my organization styles! This isn't all of my jewelry, but its the jewelry that I wear the most and like to have close to me. I usually stick to this display, but I do change it up time to time. I love looking at other people's jewelry displays and it inspires me to switch up my style. Happy reading my friends! Hope to have more posts up for y'all soon. xoxo
