What I'm Thankful For

With the constant ups and downs of everyday life, it's rare that we take a moment to reflect and be thankful for what we have. I know it's super typical and corny to suddenly give thanks on Thanksgiving, but it's still a good feeling.

I always receive wake-up calls from life reminding me that I have to be thankful for the amazing blessings and not to dwell on the things I don't have. As a reflection of my life, I want to share some things that I've been thankful for this past year.

10 Things I'm Thankful For

(In no specific order)

1. My family

As I get older, I definitely feel the weight that my family holds in my heart. They are the foundation of my life and I am so appreciative of my wonderful parents. Their endless love and support has provided me the life that I live and I couldn't be more grateful. They're getting older and it's so important to cherish every moment we spend together. And as for my younger brother, I'm grateful to have someone that constantly keeps me laughing. I love my family so much even though we fight like crazy. That's family  <3

2. My Health

I am so grateful to God that I have good health. Besides fluctuating weight problems and cavities, I don't have any major concerns and I am always thankful and weary of that. There are so many diseases nowadays and not everyone gets lucky. We have to prioritize our health, whether it be mental or physical, and take care of ourselves first.

3. Love

Love heals all. I am surrounded by so much love and it's honestly what keeps me going.

4. True Friends

If you keep up with my blog, you'll know that friendships hold a huge weight in my life. A lot of my life lessons and harsh realities lie in experiences that I've had in my friendships. All I can say is that I am so grateful for my true friends. I've definitely had some eye-opening experiences this year with friends which either made our relationships stronger or pushed me even further to cut the cord. I'm just so thankful for the friends that genuinely care about me and spend time with me for my presence and not what I have to offer. I love you ladies!

5. Blogging

I'm so thankful to live in a time where I can express myself and (hopefully) relate to others across a huge platform. Blogging brings me so much joy and I hope to commit myself to posting more often.

6. Social Media

Now I know I've written a couple posts and I might've even said I hate social media...but I am definitely grateful for the positive influence it's made in my life. I am able to promote my blog and interests through social media and connect with other like-minded individuals. I also get to see posts that inspire me or uplift my day. I swear, memes are life and I love following bunny pages on Instagram. Until I get a pet bunny of my own, I live vicariously through IG accounts and it makes my day so much better. Social media isn't as awful as I think it is sometimes.

7. The Bad Times

Now this is strange, but I'm definitely grateful for the bad times in my life because they've taught me countless lessons. And they also teach me to appreciate the good times and not take them for granted.

8. YouTube & Google

Let's get real for a second; life wouldn't be the same without these two thangs right here okaaay. Seriously, these are life savers!

9. Food

I seriously love food and I am not ashamed to admit that! But I also want to point out that food is a necessity that isn't available to so many millions of unfortunate people around the world and that absolutely breaks my heart. I am appreciative of every single morsel of food that I consume. Thank you GOD!

10. Life

Life is such a gift. I am so so so thankful to live that life that I do (regardless of the inevitable complaining I do on a regular basis.) I wouldn't want to be anyone else but me.

Happy Thanksgiving! What are you thankful for?
