Brooklyn Botanic Garden- A Flower Lover's Piece of Heaven

Yesterday was Mother's day- a day which I usually never go above and beyond for. You see, my mother is the type of mom who thinks every day should be mother's day (I'm sure many of you can relate!) so she would get upset if we picked this designated day to show our gratitude.

I always try to treat my mom special every day, but let's be real- that only lasts for so long. We have our ups and downs, but my mother knows she means the world to me. I made it a priority to give her a really special mother's day this year since she's been dealing with a lot of hardships. I actually started my mother's day shenanigans earlier this week but saved the best for last.

My mom LOVES flowers. I can't even describe how hard it is to pull her away from the plants and flowers expo at Home Depot. So when I kept seeing pictures of the gorgeous Brooklyn Botanic Garden, I knew this was something I had to experience with my mom.

We headed there at noon on Sunday, and the weather was PERFECT. Mind you, it was raining all week up until yesterday morning (meant to be?) and we arrived when the sun was beaming down and the winds were there to keep us cool. It was simply perfect. The rain did cause wilting and some flowers were not yet in bloom, but here are some pictures that I took to share this gorgeous piece of heaven in NYC.

If you're in NYC or planning a visit, be sure to check out Brooklyn Botanic Garden (click here)

Thanks for stopping by! xoxo
