I miss writing an old fashioned blog entry. I think for a while I got carried away with my YouTube channel. I really enjoy making videos but I don't want to get lost into it.

What do I mean?
I mean that I want to give more attention to my actual blog rather than focus on becoming a big time YouTuber. Don't get me wrong, there is nothing wrong with that. But I've always wanted to be known for my writing more than anything. I will definitely continue to make videos, but I want to shift gears and focus more on the writing!

I didn't want to start off apologizing for lack of posts like I always do lol but I do want to update yall a little bit on my life!

I'm excited to say that I've been quite busy this past month! I officially started copy editing for an online magazine!! Its been a hectic month trying to learn new techniques and being thrown into a role of so much responsibility so quickly. But I can't complain, I love editing and I hope one day I can be editing for a huge publication and make a living off that. So far, I'm loving the content and team. My editor is so sweet and encouraging, her positive feedback makes working there very comforting and welcoming. Not something I can say about my previous jobs...

Anyways, what Ive realized lately with so much going on in the world is that EVERYONE has an opinion, You're thinking, well DUH (hear me out)

I find it so funny that people feel no shame posting negative comments on other people's social media accounts. If you wouldn't say it to their face in real life, why are you saying it online? Just because you can hide behind a computer screen and be this big bully at home doesn't mean you should attack anyone with your words unless they are personally harming you. This got me thinking, I have a lot of opinions on so many issues that I want to voice my opinion on in a raw, yet mature and professional manner.

In the near future, I hope to use my blog as a platform for me to express my thoughts, concerns and ideas for major news/current events. I'm trying to go back to my roots and at the same time, build my portfolio. I remember back in college I was always assigned to writing about boring stuff that I didn't care about. Now I have all the free will to write about anything that I want, and I will definitely take advantage of that!
