Goals

If there's one thing that motivates me and frustrates me at the same times, it's probably my goals. I'm not talking about the overused #goals that everyone misuses (i.e. a pic of Kim K's new haircut "#goals")

My goals for the future are what make me look forward to each and everyday. If you're looking at the big picture, my dream life is to be married to the one I love, living in a home for us two and hopefully a little one of our own, with thriving careers that we love and our families in union. It all seems attainable, but with the punches life throws out of no where, I fear that my dreams may not come true. Luckily, I have a few years to work on those goals.

My short term goals are the ones I need to be focusing on to find instant gratification

1. GETTING MY CAREER STARTED!
I cannot stress how much being unemployed has taken a toll on me. Money wise, I'd say I'm holding up ok but I do hate how money conscious I've become. I have to think multiple times before making a purchase, and if I make an impulse buy- I hate myself. But the bigger issue I'm having is not having that sense of accomplishment, I feel like I'm not moving forward in my life because I haven't got a journalism related job since I graduated last May. But I am trying my best and searching everyday! Keep your fingers crossed people!

2. SAVE MONEY!
Ughhhhh...this is also a work in progress. I have been very frugal for the past few months, tracking my expenses and giving myself a budget to maintain a safe bank balance. But what I truly have to work on is saving money when I earn it. It seems I always go from paycheck to paycheck and tbh...it's mostly on food :X

3. GET HEALTHY!
I've been doing pretty ok with my eating habits, incorporating more fruits and veggies into my meals. But I definitely need to start working out again. If I can lose at least 10lbs by the end of the summer, and get a flat belly, I'll be a happy camper! I really do believe that if you look your best, you feel your best. And trust me, yesterday I wore a midi body-con dress and my back rolls were not looking cute!

Those seem to be the three most important goals I need to focus on right now. I feel like once those settle into place, I'll be a lot more motivated for my other goals.

If anyone is struggling getting any motivation, just remember that hard work definitely pays off, and even if no one else is there to pat you on the back, pat yourself! Hope we all make our goals and feel great about ourselves. Happy reading!
