March 2015 (Beauty) Favorites!

Hey my lovelies! I can't believe another month has gone by and now we are jumping into April! This is the second consecutive year that I didn't play an April fools' joke on anyone. Wahhh, but at least no one fooled me!

But anyways, I thought I'd share with you some beauty/hygiene products that I loved this past month. Some are new and some are just products that I neglected in the past but have come to fall in love with! I will try to include links to most products so that you can check them out for yourself if you're intrigued. This might be a lengthy post so without further adieu lets get into it!

Bath and Body Works Peach and Honey Almond Shower Gel

This shower gel is heaven in a bottle. Oh man, where do I start? It smells divine. I wasn't sure what the combination of peaches and honey almond would smell like, but when I opened the bottle to take a sniff(yes, I'm a sniffer) I instantly fell in love! There's a slight perfume scent to this shower gel, but it doesn't linger heavily on my body. If anything, it leaves my bathroom smelling amaaaaaaaazing. I bought this back in January when Bath & Body Works was having their semi annual sale. This regularly goes for $12.50 but with the 75% off, I purchased it for about $3 and some change. Talk about a deal.

Don't worry my loves, it's still for sale on their website and Bath & Body Works always has a promotion so go snag a bottle while you still can!

Freeman's Charcoal & Black Sugar Facial Polishing Mask

I've been using Freeman masks for years, I usually like to try their little sample packets first before committing to the full size tube. But after seeing multiple beauty gurus use charcoal masks on YouTube, I was so intrigued to use it as soon as I saw an affordable brand release one.

This came out a while ago but I happened to purchase it last month and tried to use it once a week. It's very easy to apply, I like to wet my face a little first, then slather the product all over covering my entire face but leaving my eye area untouched. I leave it on for 5-7 minutes like the directions recommend, then I massage my face for 30 seconds to about a minute and rinse it off. It leaves my face feeling firm and smooth. A great exfoliant to say the least!

Almost all drugstores carry them, I got mine at Bed Bath & Beyond but you can find them at Rite AidUlta, and CVS just to name a few

Bath & Body Works Stress Relief- Eucalyptus Spearmint Sanitizer

This little hand sanitizer surprisingly does help me relax! I always snag the 5 for $5 deal for the mini hand sanitizers and usually grab a random bunch. I'm glad I got this one because it smells really good, almost like a unisex cologne, and it comes in very handy(haha, no pun intended)

Get it here or at your local Bath & Body Works store

Basic mini claw clip

I have to mention this because I have been using these tiny claw clips religiously. I have long bangs and since they're in the awkward stage of growing out, they're always in my face. I just clip them back out of my face and I like how discrete they are. I got a pack of 12 for $1 at Deals but I'm sure you can find these at any drugstore or beauty supply shop.

Lip Balms: The Body Shop Mango Lip Butter and Fresh Sugar Lip Treatment

This stuff has quickly become my holy grail. I purchased it a couple years back but never really used it because I'm such a Vaseline addict, but that has changed. This winter was really brutal to my lips and I needed something to revive the smoothness, and this lip butter has brought my lips back to life.

I think they changed the packaging, but you can purchase this in stores or on the website
I actually got this from Sephora as the birthday gift for either 2012 or 2013, I don't really remember. But I recently discovered it in my makeup drawer and decided to give it a go. I was definitely missing out. I love how it glides on gently and has a sweet lemony scent. This was a sample size but the full size can be purchased at Sephora

Lip products!

This is where it gets a little crazy...what can I say, I love lip products wayyy too much. It's something I'll never stop buying even if I have way too many. A quick round up review: I've really been into the nude, natural lip color trend so most of these colors fall into that nudish pink range. All products have a nice creamy yet matte feel, and I'd definitely repurchase them all!
Left to right: Wet n Wild Mochalicious 914D and Spiked with Rum 915B
Maybelline Matte collection #660 Touch of Spice
Revlon Colorburst Matte balm #225 Sultry
Elf Matte Lip color in Praline
Milani lip liner #09 Spice
Essence lip liner #05 Soft berry
Colourpop Lippie Stix in Brink

 Eye Products

This Wet n Wild single eyeshadow in Brulee is honestly the best 59cents I have ever spent! Such a creamy and pigmented shadow for so cheap, its just unbelievable. This collection has about 6-7 shades that range from $0.99-1.99 and are almost always on sale (I got mine from Rite Aid when the whole Wet n Wild brand was 40%off) This deal is truly a steal.
The Rimmel Exaggerate eyeliner in the shade "In the nude" has helped me achieve that effortless wide awake eye look. What I like to do is line my waterline with this nude color, then take a dark brown or even a black eyeshadow and lightly smudge is under my lower lash line. The nude helps to intensify the smoldering lower lash line effect. My favorite thing about this liner is that its super creamy and waterproof!

Face products and tools

Can we take a moment to bow our head in shame for the fact that I've been in the dark when it comes to BB cream for so long now?... Ok just kidding, I know what BB cream is but as someone who has acne prone skin, I'm terrified of using any liquid products on my face. I really wanted to try the L'Oreal anti fatigue BB cream after watching a review by one of my favorite YouTubers, Farah Dhukai. I love this stuff! It evens out my complexion without making it look like a mask. The only thing I don't like is that when I first apply it, there is a slight orange tint but after applying a translucent face powder that problem goes away. Love this stuff!
The Maybelline Fit me! Matte and Poreless face powder is the bomb dot com. I seriously love this stuff. I've tried 101 face powders and this is definitely in the top 5. I use the shade 220 Natural beige and it is spot on. My T zone is the shiniest part of my face and greases up pretty quickly, but when I dust this powder over my face, I can count on several hours of matte coverage. Can't say enough good things about this. Definitely repurchasing.

The Elf complexion brush is a great $3 investment. You can use this brush to apply powder, blush or bronzer. I like to use this as a blush brush because the bristles are soft and spread quite wide, making it easy to cover the cheek in fewer strokes. You can even smush them up to apply a dark contour shade. Totally a multi purpose brush!
This eyebrow grooming razor was so useful to me this past month. I was growing out my eyebrows and in between getting them threaded, I kept them groomed with this little guy and some tweezers. I mainly used this tool because I didn't want to over pluck my brows for the 100th time. I used the combs to brush my brows into place and the blade to do quick trims. I got a pack of 3 razors from Forever 21 but you can find these at any beauty supply store (super cheap too!)

Well my loves, that's all the stuff I used constantly in the month of March. I know it was a lot but hopefully you guys found new products to try or have a better idea of them now. As always, happy reading!!!! xoxo
